Summary

NOAA Fisheries is proposing annual catch limits for deepwater shrimp and precious coral commercial fisheries in the main Hawaiian Islands. The annual catch limits would apply in both federal and state waters around Hawaiʻi for fishing years 2022–2025. We’re also proposing accountability measures to correct or mitigate overages if they occur.

NOAA Fisheries is accepting comments on the proposed rule through January 4, 2023.
