NOAA Fisheries announces a proposed rule to revise the termination date for swordfish and shark limited access permits.

This rule would remove the termination date for swordfish and shark limited access permits. Currently, swordfish and shark limited access permits are terminated if permits are not renewed within one year of the expiration date.

Who it affects

Any swordfish and shark limited access permit holders in the northwestern Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of America and Caribbean Sea.
