Summary

NOAA Fisheries proposes revisions to regulations that implement the Pacific Fishery Management Council’s (Council) Pacific Coast Salmon Fishery Management Plan (FMP). This proposed action would remove rebuilding plans for Queets River and Strait of Juan de Fuca coho salmon from regulation, as these stocks have been rebuilt and are no longer required to be managed under rebuilding plans.

NOAA Fisheries concurrently announces a 30-day comment period for this proposed rule on this proposal. Please submit all electronic public comments via the Federal e-Rulemaking Portal, NOAA-NMFS-2024-0112. Click on the “Comment” icon, complete the required fields, and enter or attach your comments. Comments sent by any other method, to any other address or individual, or received after the end of the comment period, may not be considered by NOAA Fisheries.
