Final Rule: Gulf of America Regulatory Changes

NOAA announces a final rule to amend existing regulations to fully implement renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, consistent with Executive Order 14172 "Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness." This rule will ensure consistent use of the Gulf of America name in NOAA Fisheries and National Ocean Service regulations.

This rule does not substantively change existing NOAA Fisheries or National Ocean Service regulations or National Marine Sanctuary terms of designation.
