Incidental Take Permit to CPS Energy (Formerly Barney Davis, LLC)

The Barney Davis Energy Center, located in Corpus Christi, Texas, is a natural gas-fired electric power generating facility. Barney Davis, LLC., was issued a permit for the incidental take of ESA-listed North Atlantic green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) and Kemp's ridley sea turtles (Lepidochelys kempii) associated with the otherwise lawful operation of the Barney Davis Energy Center. The facility monitors the intake canal in an effort to intercept sea turtles prior to contact with the facility's cooling water intake structure. The permit is issued for a duration of 10 years. CPS Energy has acquired ownership and operational control of the Center and the permit has been transferred to CPS Energy for the remaining duration of the permit.
