Project: The UAS surveys in the Pribilof Islands leveraged UAS expertise from Duke University's Marine Robotics and Remote Sensing group and local knowledge from the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island to develop an image-based, community approach to monitoring this isolated harbor seal stock. We provided training to community partners and worked to develop a long-term strategy to improve our understanding of harbor seals throughout the Pribilof Islands.
