We are implementing the 2019 specifications for the monkfish fishery as recommended by the Councils and projected in 2017. This action sets quotas for fishing year 2019 (May 1, 2019, through April 30, 2020). The 2019 specifications are part of a multi-year approach that must be formally implemented each year. Table 1 summarizes the 2019 total allowable landings in both the Northern and Southern Fishery Management Areas. These measures are the same as measures implemented in 2017.
