The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region, and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) will present combined workshops in Anchorage, Kodiak, Ketchikan, and Juneau for the fishing industry on eLandings, an electronic reporting system designed to report fish and crab landings and production to multiple State, Federal, and international agencies, according to Robert D. Mecum, Acting Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.
The workshops will cover the following material:
- An overview of the eLandings electronic reporting system;
- Demonstrations and hand-on training in creating individual fishing quota (IFQ) sablefish, halibut, and crab landing reports (if applicable);
- An explanation of interim fish ticket procedures and internet outages; and
- An explanation of how to report state fisheries catch data
The workshop in Anchorage will be held for shoreside processors at:
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
