IB 11-25: Apportionment of the Groundfish Reserve in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

Notice of a fishery management action.

The 2011 initial total allowable catch (ITAC) specified for octopus in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area (BSAI) has been supplemented by amounts of the non-specified reserve according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. This action is being taken in accordance with 50 CFR 679.20(b)(3).

The following table summarizes the apportionment in metric tons:

Fishermen are reminded that all actions and closures remain in full force and effect. This apportionment does not rescind or modify closures to directed fishing or actions prohibiting retention of a groundfish species.
