IB 13-49: NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Northern Rockfish and Dusky Rockfish in the Western Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska

Notice of a fishery management action.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for northern rockfish and dusky rockfish in the Western Regulatory Area (between 159 degrees and 170 degrees W. longitudes) of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) for 48 hours, effective 12 noon, Alaska local time, July 10, 2013, through 12 noon, Alaska local time, July 12, 2013, according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

This action is necessary to fully use the 2013 total allowable catch of northern rockfish and dusky rockfish in the Western Regulatory Area of the GOA. Other closures remain in effect.
