NMFS Extends Expiration Date on Groundfish Logbooks and Forms

Notice of a fishery management action.

The expiration date found on all groundfish forms and logbooks has been extended to October 31, 2011, according to Robert D. Mecum, Acting Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved NMFS Alaska Region?s renewal request for the information collection OMB Control Number 0648-0213, which includes groundfish logbooks and forms. The new expiration date for the collection is October 31, 2011. This date supersedes the expiration dates of September 30, 2008. Managers and operators should continue to use logbooks issued under this superseded date and may request a sticker to apply to existing logbooks with the new expiration date.
