NMFS Opening Offshore Pacific Cod in the Western GOA

Notice of a fishery management action.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for Pacific cod for vessels catching Pacific cod for processing by the offshore component in the Western Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska effective 12 noon, Alaska local time (A.l.t.) April 18, 1999, according to Steven Pennoyer, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

This action is necessary to fully utilize the total allowable catch of Pacific cod for the offshore component in the Western Regulatory Area.

This information bulletin provides notice that a regulatory change has occurred. Do not rely upon it to guide you in complying with the regulatory change.
