NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Pacific Ocean Perch by Trawl Entry Level Vessels in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska for 48 Hours

Notice of a fishery management action.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for Pacific ocean perch by trawl catcher vessels participating in the rockfish entry level fishery in the Central Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA) for 48 hours, effective 12 noon, Alaska local time, July 15, 2010, through 12 noon, Alaska local time, July 17, 2010, according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.

This action is necessary to fully use the 2010 directed fishing allowance of Pacific ocean perch allocated to trawl catcher vessels participating in the rockfish entry level fishery in the Central Regulatory Area of the GOA.
