Details

The intent of this meeting is to consider alternatives for the conservation and management of all Atlantic tunas, swordfish, billfish, and shark fisheries. 

Some of the topics we anticipate discussing include: 

  • The three-year review of Amendment 7 on bluefin tuna management.
  • A proposed rule and Draft Environmental Impact Statement for pelagic longline bluefin tuna area-based and weak hook management measures.
  • Scoping for Amendment 13 (bluefin tuna) and spatial management research and data collection.

We also anticipate inviting other NOAA Fisheries offices and the United States Coast Guard to provide updates, if available, on activities relevant to HMS fisheries. The full agenda will be posted prior to the meeting on the our event page.
