Adam Potter

Biological Science Technician

Adam fell in love with the Ocean at a young age just from books, as being from Michigan there was no Ocean to visit. After high school Adam packed his bags and went to school in Hawaii where he obtained a Bachelors in Anthropology, Minor in Zoology, and a Certificate in Ocean Education at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Adam pursued further education in earning an Associates in Aquarium Science at Oregon Coast Community College after realizing his passion not just learning and talking about animals but also caring for the animals that are needed for research. Having taken care of Tiger sharks, Reef sharks, and Hammerheads in Hawaii he now takes care of the animals in the Kodiak Lab and assists in data collection with researchers to help with published work. Adam wants to provide the best possible care for these animals to minimize their stress and provide as accurate results as possible. In his free time he likes to read and go diving.
