Chris Long, PhD
I am a National Research Council postdoctoral researcher working with Robert Ahrens on a project comparing bycatch estimation methods to optimize observer coverage levels. I completed my MS and PhD at the University of Central Florida, where I studied sea turtle biology and ecology under Dr. Kate Mansfield and Dr. Llewellyn "Doc" Ehrhart. I have extensive experience conducting data analysis, lab work, and field work related to sea turtles conservation and biology. I am interested in everything, so please reach out if you have an idea brewing!
When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, video gaming, hiking, and hanging with my cat C.J. (named after the character from the West Wing).
