Cindy Hartmann Moore, M.P.A.
Cindy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology from Iowa State University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Alaska Southeast. Cindy worked for the Iowa Conservation Commission, The National Wildlife Federation and the U.S.D.A. Forest Service before joining NOAA Fisheries in 1995. Since October 1995 she has worked in the Alaska Region's Habitat Conservation Division (HCD) in various capacities. She coordinated the team that initially developed the Essential Fish Habitat descriptions for Alaska's managed species. Cindy represents HCD on the Southeast Alaska Fish Habitat Partnership Steering Committee. Cindy evaluates the effects of development projects on habitat and develops appropriate Essential Fish Habitat Conservation Recommendations. Cindy works with others to coordinate the ShoreZone partnership and manages NOAA Fisheries ShoreZone contract. Cindy is also a past president of the Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society.
