Corey is one of the EM Support Assistant/Reviewers, working with video data of Groundfish and Herring trips. She worked as an observer from December 2005 to March 2006 and an At‐Sea Monitor from May 2011 to January 2015. Corey came in house as a data debriefer in March 2015. She moved into her current role with the EM team in August 2017.

She received a B.S. in Biology from Northland College, Ashland WI and an MS in Marine Science from the University of MA School of Marine Science and Technology (SMAST). Her master’s thesis project focused on the reduction of Yellowtail Flounder and Atlantic Cod bycatch in the large mesh trawl fishery on George's Bank using gear modifications.

Corey enjoys many outside activities, including backpacking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, canoeing and riding the new ATV. She enjoys reading mystery novels and crocheting stuffed animals for her friend’s kids. She also loves working in the garden and spending time on the pond with her husband and dog, Lucy.
