Doug Mecum served as Deputy Regional Administrator for NOAA Fisheries' Alaska Region from September 2005 to December 2022. He served as Acting Regional Administrator from December 2021 to March 2022. Before that, he was Director of the Division of Commercial Fisheries for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
