LTJG Stefanie Coxe

Stefanie completes Essential Fish Habitat Early Coordinations and Consultations for federal and state agency projects in Alaska. She reported to Anchorage mid-2020 after her first sea assignment aboard NOAA Ship Rainier. The hydrographic ship completed various projects along the Pacific Coast and the Hawaiian Islands, while Stefanie performed ship-diving and Officer of the Deck duties. Before commissioning with NOAA in 2018, Stefanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Wildlife Management and worked in Kentucky, Portugal, Italy, and Montana for non-profit organizations and AmeriCorps on terrestrial and marine projects. Stefanie is passionate about conservation and looks forward to continuing to protect fish habitat.
