Jamal Moss
Jamal is a fisheries research biologist with the Ecosystem Monitoring and Assessment Program at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center. He has 18 years of experience leading trawl-based fisheries oceanographic surveys in the Gulf of Alaska and Bering Sea. He has served as Principal Investigator on Alaska Sustainable Salmon Fund, Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim Sustainable Salmon Initiative, Pacific Salmon Commission Northern Fund, National Science Foundation, and the North Pacific Research Board on projects focused on the ecology of juvenile salmon, marine fish, and ecosystem processes. Jamal is currently leading fisheries oceanographic research in the Gulf of Alaska and Northern Bering Sea marine ecosystems. He is lead PI for the Gulf of Alaska Integrated Ecosystem Assessment Program and serves on the Alaska Integrated Ecosystem Assessment Steering Committee.
