Lo Berg
Lo Berg grew up in subsistence and commercial watermen communities in the Chesapeake Bay region. They received their BSc from Mary Baldwin ('10, Cum Laude, Beta Beta Beta) with an undergraduate thesis on Cryphonetrica parasitica and their MSc from Chatham University ('15) with a thesis combining geospatial analysis of factors associated with Colony Collapse Disorder with laboratory methods. Their interests remain in geospatial analysis, disease ecology, and computational modeling. They relocated to Seattle in 2021 and joined NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center as a contractor the same year.
