Nikki Peck
Nikki Peck is an environmental engineer at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc, working as a contractor for the Offshore Wind Team, including investigating the potential impacts of offshore wind on the North Atlantic right whale. Nikki was born and raised in Syracuse, New York but is currently moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her B.S. from Clarkson University and is currently working towards a graduate degree from Duke University as part of Duke’s Environmental Leadership Masters in Environmental Management program. Her experience in consulting includes remedial projects performing feasibility studies, remedial design, and construction oversight. She executes a variety of engineering tasks including data logging and organization, design computations, developing design criteria, and cost estimating. The primary areas of her expertise include engineering design, lead assessment and abatement design, feasibility studies and alternative evaluations, landfill inspections, and site management. She is an Envision Sustainability Professional (ESP) and a registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with plans to obtain her PE license soon. Along with her full-time engineering job, Nikki is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach and works part time at her local gym helping clients reach their health and fitness goals. In her free time, Nikki enjoys going to the gym and training for bodybuilding competitions, training and trailing her dogs in agility and trick-dog competitions, exploring new parks and trails, reading, playing "cool aunt" to her niece Avery, and trying new recipes on the Traeger grill with her husband.
