Pat is currently focused on developing software for the Bottom Long Line Survey. The application will improve the current data capture process and data q/c making use of portable tablets at sea. The app will communicate with various hardware devices from Marel to Zebra and in house devices via Bluetooth. The application currently supports a Zebra hand held scanner, Fishboard to measure lengths, and Marel Bluetooth Scales that communicate using Bluetooth Low Engergy(BLE) or classic Bluetooth. In addition to Android programming, Pat has experience in asp.net core web development, C# Winforms for desktop, browser extensions, php, Java Servlets, EJB and other forms of Middleware. He also has 25+ years of database development and administration in Oracle, Microsoft Sql, MYSQL and various other RDBMS (Sqlite,mongoDB).
