Equipment Specialist III

Prior to joining the NEFSC Net Loft team, Rob’s experience included a B.S. in Marine Science and Fisheries Technology at the University of Rhode Island, followed by 20+ years as a commercial fisherman. Rob has worked in:

bottom trawling
midwater trawling
purse seining
lobstering

in coastal and offshore waters from the Gulf Of Maine to the Gulf of Mexico; tonging and raking, as well as Scuba diving for all types of shellfish also played into his experiences in wrestling a living from the sea.

Rob has been a member of the NEFSC Net Loft team since 2002, working to keep the bottom trawls and related gear in working order and standardized condition, also participating in NEFSC Bottom Trawl, Northern Shrimp, Scallop and Ocean Quahog surveys.
