Theresa Waters

Biological Technician I (Contractor)

Tessa is a recent graduate of Vassar College (‘20) in New York with a BA in biology. She previously interned at the James J. Howard Marine Sciences Laboratory in 2019 through the NOAA-College Supported Internship Program where she conducted climate change related research on Atlantic silverside fish. She first fell in love with marine biology during her junior year abroad in Australia where she gained various field work experiences from studying coral reef bleaching and degradation in the Great Barrier Reef to investigating the population dynamics of an Australian fur seal colony off the coast of Phillip Island. Tessa is excited to be back with the Life History Recruitment team gaining experience in ecotoxicology and further developing as a research scientist in preparation for a future graduate program in oceanography.
