Veronica Runge

Veronica Runge is a Fishery Resource Management Specialist for the Habitat and Ecosystem Services Division who performs Essential Fish Habitat consultations in both the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. Veronica participates in regional coastal resiliency and restoration working groups. She has 13 years’ experience working with protected species, permitting environmental projects and evaluating development permits, and assessing and restoring critical habitat on barrier islands, uplands, and across a myriad of marine, estuarine, freshwater, and wetland ecosystems. Veronica also has extensive experience managing coastal resiliency projects, writing ecosystem-based management strategic plans, leading invasive plant and wildlife management projects, and has experience in bioacoustics research and project analysis. Veronica holds a Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a focus on Marine Ecosystem Based Management and two Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biological Sciences and Animal Behavioral Neuroscience (Ethology) from Florida Atlantic University.
