Victoria Luu, Ph.D.
Tori returned to her home state of MA to join the NEFSC in 2022 after completing her Geosciences Ph.D. (Princeton University). Tori also holds an M.A. in Geosciences (Princeton University) and a B.S. in Environmental Geosciences (Boston College). Her research spanned from the central equatorial Pacific to the North Atlantic, where she used nitrogen isotopes to study nutrient cycling in the modern ocean, primarily in coral reef environments. Prior to joining the NEFSC, Tori served as a 2020 Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy Fellow in NOAA’s Office of International Affairs, where she assisted in policy guidance and coordinating agency affairs regarding NOAA’s activities and engagements in the Arctic, Cuba, and various conferences. Currently, Tori supports FMRD with project management, communications, and tasker responses.
