Educator Workshop: Extreme Weather and Resilience
This virtual workshop will explore extreme weather and catastrophic events and how we prepare and bounce back from them.
About
Educators, join us for the virtual workshop "Extreme Weather and Catastrophic Events: Preparing for and Bouncing Back Better." Extreme weather events such as hurricanes and flooding and catastrophic events like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have significant effects on both human and natural systems. Learning from how we respond to these events can prepare both communities and ecosystems for the next event, supporting increased resilience. During this virtual workshop, participants will learn about these events, the responses to these events, and models for integrating this work into regional environmental literacy programming.
