Endangered Species Day at Franklin Park Zoo

About

Calling all conservation heroes! Meet your favorite superheroes and learn how you can be a superhero for endangered species!

Tigers, western lowland gorillas and ring-tailed lemurs are just a few of the endangered species you'll see at Franklin Park Zoo who act as ambassadors for their populations around the world. Join us on Endangered Species Day to discover more about these incredible animals and ask questions directly to zookeepers.

Guests will also have the opportunity to meet and take photos with MARVEL’s own Super Heroes, Captain America and Spider-Man. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes! Captain America and Spider-Man will be available for photos in half-hour increments from 10:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The Franklin Park Zoo has an engaging day designed for visitors of all ages to learn more about endangered species and ways that they can help protect these animals as well as their habitats. NOAA Fisheries will be bringing life-size inflatable replicas of animals including a leatherback sea turtle and a 10-foot long Atlantic sturgeon! Additionally, there will be engaging activities and games for children to play.
