NOAA Fisheries will hold a virtual meeting on April 22, 2026, regarding the development of a management strategy evaluation for North Pacific swordfish.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather stakeholder input and prepare for potential discussions at the 2026 annual meeting of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) Northern Committee.
Discussion topics will include:
- Preferences for management objectives
- Candidate performance metrics
- Candidate reference points
- Candidate harvest control rules

This meeting is open to the public and will be conducted via webinar.
We encourage you to complete the meeting interest form by April 15, 2026, if you would like to attend the meeting and/or receive meeting materials. Requests for sign language interpretation or other auxiliary aids should be indicated when registering for the meeting. Meeting documents will be emailed to participants in advance of the webinar.
