Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty: Joint Technical Committee Meeting, December 11-12, 2024

The Joint Technical Committee (JTC), created under the Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty between the Governments of the United States and Canada, will meet in person in Seattle Washington, and by webinar, on December 11 and 12, 2024, to prepare for the 2025 Pacific hake/whiting stock assessment. In addition, the Joint Acoustic-Trawl Survey Team will discuss progress and plans towards an integrated Pacific Hake/Whiting and coastal pelagic species survey along the U.S. West Coast in 2025.

The JTC meeting is open to the public and members of the Pacific hake/whiting treaty advisory bodies and interested parties are encouraged to attend.  There will be opportunity for public comment.

This meeting will also facilitate remote participation online via webinar. Information to connect to the webinar is included below.  

Update: The JTC and Integrated Survey Team completed all agenda items and required discussion and Adjourned on Day 1; it was decided to cancel Day 2.
