Meet Jolene Lau, a Communications Specialist, who handles media and public inquiries for NOAA Fisheries' Pacific Islands Regional Office. Read her guest blog below to learn how Ms. Lau's heritage and upbringing positively influenced her life and career. She ensures that communication products reach our target audiences, and contributes to key agency mission work related to sustainable fisheries, protected resources, and habitat conservation. 

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Ms. Lau says her grandmother, Edith, is the person that influenced her the most.
