This is a web-based system to collect NOAA Ship Time Requests, which were previously submitted using NOAA Form 57-11-01. It also assists with project scheduling and generation of Fleet Allocation Plans (FAP).
The main purpose of PASS is to collect NOAA Ship Time Requests, assist ship allocation and scheduling. PASS improves the transparency and efficiency of the ship time request and schedule process.
This metadata record is intended to provide current, summary information on the NOAA Prioritization, Allocation and Scheduling System (PASS). As the system continues to evolve, each production release of PASS will have a child metadata record within this parent record (see "Child Items" below). This metadata record will be updated over time to reflect any major changes to the system. Minor changes and release specific information will be documented in the children, release specific metadata records.
