The Data Management Systems staff provides information technology (IT) support primarily to the NEFSC and to other NMFS personnel as requested. DMS has a staff of computer professionals who provide the expertise required to develop, implement and maintain a computing environment designed to meet the needs of the users and to comply with NMFS information technology architecture.
DMS management supervises DMS personnel; coordinates the development and implementation of program products and services; provides information technology transfer to support national and regional IT initiatives; supports the development and implementation of advancements in IT; and supports the works of the National Information Management Board.
