25229 AFSC/NMML: Bristol Bay Beluga hearing sensitivity, August 2012 and 2014 Data Set Published / External 23107 Cetacean Assessment and Ecology Program Project Completed 2012 Hearing sensitivity data was collected on beluga whales in Bristol Bay with auditory evoked potential (AEP) methods for the frequencies 4, 8, 11.2, 16, 22.5, 32, 45, 54, 80, 100, 128, 150 kHz in 7 belugas in 2012 and 9 in 2014. This data allows describing baseline hearing abilities and variability in wild belugas. If more than one beluga was sampled within the same day, txt files with same date but followed by a "b", "c", etc. will be present. Each txt file contains a series of headers followed by a string of values. The header indicates the record number, date and time in AK DST, sampling rate, window duration, cycles averaged, presentation rate, update rate, carrier frequency, modulation frequency, burst duration, stimuli duration, stimuli amplitude, type of stimuli, frequency tested and attenuation level. The header is followed by the AEP response in microvolts.
