These data have been used to delinate different stocks of bottlenose dolphins in estuaries of the Gulf of Mexico.
To use biopsy tissue samples to examine genetic relationships between populations of bottlenose dolphins.
Small boat based surveys for biopsy sample collection. Most recent efforts include focussed studies in estuaries along the Texas coast and western Mississippi sound. Data include survey effort, sample collection efforts, and subsampling of collected samples. Photoidentification databases of sampled individuals are maintained in customized Access database software (FINBASE)
