These data are collected aboard federally permitted commercial fishing vessels, and the system allows for the collection of data to exceed regulatory requirements to address research needs, while simultaneously being submitted for Vessel Trip Reporting (VTR) purposes in order to satisfy federal reporting requirements. Completeness Report All submissions and data edits must be attested to and digitally signed by a vessel operator or owner in order to meet eVTR requirements. Vessel data is collected electronically using the Fisheries Logbook Data Recording Software (FLDRS). At the completion of a trip, an encrypted data file is emailed to the NEFSC servers and loaded to the relevant databases.
