Project
In Work
2015-12-15
These data represent a cost-earnings study of the Hawaii small boat fishery in 2014. Data collected include fisher classification, vessel characteristics, levels of investment, trip-level expenditures, fishing behavior, market participation, social aspects of the fishery, and demographics.
The purpose of the cost-earnings study was to update our understanding of the economic and social characteristics of the Hawaii small boat fishery. Collection of these baseline data provides managers with an updated understanding of potential behavioral responses and impacts from future fishing regulations.
