* » Abstract

Congress established the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF) to monitor the restoration and conservation of Pacific salmon and steelhead populations and their habitats. The states of Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and Alaska and the Pacific Coastal and Columbia River tribes receive Congressional PCSRF appropriations from NOAA Fisheries Service each year. Project status and performance information on all PCSRF projects funded to date is housed in the database.
* Purpose

- Tracking over $1 billion of PCSRF funding from 2000-2011 for over 12,000 salmon-related projects

- Database used to generate input for the PCSRF Report to Congress since 2004

- Web-enabled ad hoc query and dynamic reports generated for fiscal and performance metrics

- Web-enabled data entry and update forms available to data contributors

- Download data into MS Excel

- Static project level maps and interactive mapping available online

- Semi-annual data updates from large grantees, and real-time data available online
