To estimate fish population size prior to detonation of explosives, a fish mark recapture study was conducted. Fish were captured on rod and reel using assorted hook sizes. Traps were occasionally used to supplement catches. Fish were tagged with plastic t-bar tags under the dorsal fin using tagging guns. Total length and species were recorded. Only fish that were alive and in good condition were released. |
