This table contains edited data done at SEFSC for various fields in the ALS landings data submissions from 1983-2011. It is built from 3 tables: als.als_pr_land_1983_2011 (contains unedited landings from 1983-2011), als.als_pr_land_1983_2011_errata (contains edited data from the years 1983-2011), and als.als_landings_puerto_rico (which is extracted from the CCL (Caribbean Commercial Landings online entry data (2012-most recent) and reformatted to ALS standards.

A factor calculated by Puerto Rico to account for under-reported landings. Surveys are taken periodically at dockside of vessels landing and reported landings are compared for the dates surveyed. The ratio of reported pounds/surveyed pounds is used to determine factors. Factors were calculated by entire island from 1983-2002, and by coast from 2003 - most recent. Prior to 2002 the factors were calculated based on the total number of trips (reported trips/surveyed trips). Method subject to change.
