Accuracy
Image Station Raster Utility - Display Header application was used to validate file format parameters such as:
4-band, 8-bits per band (RGBI), and pixel readout starts in northwest corner as (0,0).
Horizontal Positional Accuracy
Horizontal Accuracy Report: Thirty-three (33) control point positions were compared in the ortho-imagery to their surveyed positions. The RMS for the control points were 0.274-foot and 0.259-foot for X and Y respectively. Tested 0.652-feet horizontal accuracy at 95% confidence level using the formula Accuracy(r) = ~2.4477 * 0.5 * (RMSE(x) + RMSE(x)).

Conceptual Consistency
Topological integrity of the data was validated using the validation tools in ESRI's ArcGIS 10.1.
Ground Control Survey: A survey was performed to support the acquisition of digital Orthophotography at 0.5 foot pixel resolution meeting ASPRS Class II Standards for 1"=100' scale mapping, for Mobile County, Alabama. The ortho control network involved a total of 33 control points.. The points were a combination of either "chevron style" vinyl material, 2'x10' dimension or existing photo identification points (PID). All field survey observations were conducted between March 20, 2014 and May 26, 2014 using Leica SR530 Dual Frequency GPS equipment.
2014-05-02T00:00:00
Aerial Photography Acquisition: Aerial photography was acquired, in six (6) missions, using an Intergraph DMC at an altitude of 4154.034' AGL to support 0.5-foot pixel resolution color digital orthophotography. Airborne GPS and IMU data was collected during the photography acquisition and supported by CORS GPS- stations. Data acquisition was completed between 13th March through 25th March, 2014.
2014-03-25T00:00:00
Aerial Triangulation: The imagery was triangulated using Intergraph's ISAT. The EOs were processed and verified in stereo. Final adjustments were verified and checked against the surveyed aerial controls and were within minimum accuracy requirements for this project (see AT Report).
2014-06-11T00:00:00
Digital Color Orthophotography: Image Station Ortho-Pro (Version6.1) & SimActive's Correlator3D software were used to rectify and mosaic the data. Following the initial generation of the orthophoto tiles, they were visually inspected and corrected where necessary before being saved out as the final orthophoto deliverable tiles.
