The NATURAL HAZARD POLYS table contains attribute information for vector polygons representing Storm Surge Inundation areas in four depth ranges ( <=3ft, >3ft, >6ft, >9ft), for four different Hurricane Storm Categories (Category 1, 2, 3, 4). These polygons were derived by processing a raster data set provided by NOAA's National Hurricane Center. Additional attribute information is stored in the associated data tables (SOC_DAT and SOURCES), considered as Entities or "Child Items" in this metadata record. See the Browse_Graphic section for a link to the entity-relationship diagram, which describes the relationships between attribute tables in the ESI data structure. | Description Source: NOAA ESI Guidelines (Petersen et al. 2002).
