      <abstract>The data contained in these files are a grid model representation of topographic last return and bathymetric data collected by the CHARTS system along the Gulf of Mexico coastline along Bay County, FL.  Each data file covers approximately 5km of shoreline.  

In addition to these bare earth Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data, the lidar point data that these DEM data were created from, are also available. These data are available for custom download at the link provided in the URL section of this metadata record.</abstract>
      <purpose>The data were collected to depict the coastal zone elevations to support permit applications being generated by US Army Engineer District, Mobile.</purpose>

      <horizontal-positional-accuracy>The original data positions were calculated using post-processed KGPS.
0.75 m at 1 sigma</horizontal-positional-accuracy>
      <vertical-positional-accuracy>The original data elevations were calculated using post-processed KGPS, with results relative to the ellipsoid.  The data were converted to orthometric heights using the NGS' Geoid03 model.
0.20 m at 1 sigma</vertical-positional-accuracy>
      <completeness-report>The area of interest was well covered with exception of the area immediatly adjacent to the land-water interface where data are sparse in areas with shallow depths.  The missing data are due to environmental conditions.</completeness-report>
      <conceptual-consistency>The original data provided nominally 200% coverage of the shoreline for 500m inland from the land-water interface and 100% coverage from the shoreline out to at least -10 m depths.  The data between flight lines matched well with each other and with ground control points. A TIN model was created from the original data and elevations interpreted from the TIN at 1m intervals on a regular grid.</conceptual-consistency>

The data were in geographic coordinates (NAD83) and NAVD88 (Geoid03) elevations in meters. OCM assigned the EPSG codes (4269 horizontal, and 5703 vertical) and copied the raster files to https for Digital Coast storage and provisioning purposes.</description>
