NOAA's Office for Coastal Management (OCM) Data Access Viewer (DAV)
The Data Access Viewer (DAV) allows a user to search for and download elevation, imagery, and land cover data for the coastal U.S. and its territories. The data, hosted by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, can be customized and requested for free download through a checkout interface. An email provides a link to the customized data, while the original data set is available through a link within the viewer.

Digital Elevation Model (DEM) derived from a lidar point cloud data collected in the Yakima-Benton study area of Washington State. A total area of 194,615 acres were flown with an average of 8 points per square meter.
The collection of high resolution geographic data is part of an ongoing pursuit to amass a library of information accessible to government agencies as well as the general public.

Vertical Positional Accuracy
For the OLC Yakima-Benton study area, a total of 2,220 GSPs were collected. An additional 118 reserved ground survey points were collected for independent verification, resulting in an average accuracy of 0.017 meters and a fundamental vertical accuracy (FVA) of 0.042 meters. The root mean square error on hard surfaces was 0.022 meters.
Watershed Sciences Inc. has collected Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) data in the Milton-Freewater Study Area for the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI).
NOAA OCM has taken the data and ingested it into the Digital Coast Data Access Viewer for distribution.
Acquisition.
LiDAR data acquisition was conducted from May 10 to June 12, 2015. The survey utilized an Optech Orion H mounted in a Partenavia P-68 and a Leica ALS70 mounted in a Cessna Grand Carravan.
2015-01-01T00:00:00
Processing: Lidar data were processed to generate a point cloud and ground points were classified. NAIP imagery was used to add an RGB component to each point.
2015-01-01T00:00:00
Digital Elevation Model (DEM) tiles were created from the lidar points classified as ground points.
NOAA/OCM received the data from DOGAMI in NAD83(2011) UTM Zone 11 coordinates and NAVD88 (geoid12a) heights with units of meters both horizontally and vertically. Data were converted from Arc Grid format to GeoTiff and ingested into the Digital Coast Data Access Viewer.
