NOAA's Office for Coastal Management (OCM) Data Access Viewer (DAV)
The Data Access Viewer (DAV) allows a user to search for and download elevation, imagery, and land cover data for the coastal U.S. and its territories. The data, hosted by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, can be customized and requested for free download through a checkout interface. An email provides a link to the customized data, while the original data set is available through a link within the viewer.

No metadata record for this data set was provided to the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM). This record was created with information from the data report. A link to the data report is provided in the URL section of this metadata record.
LiDAR data acquisition occurred between June 18 and June 21, 2017. Settings for the LiDAR data capture produced an average resolution of at least 8 points per square meter. The data set encompasses 132,009 acres in portions of Jackson County in the state of Oregon. Quantum Spatial, Inc. collected the lidar and created this data set for the Oregon Lidar Consortium (OLC).
In addition to these lidar point data, the bare earth Digital Elevation Models (DEM) created from the lidar point data are also available. These data are available for custom download at the link provided in the URL section of this metadata record.
This dataset provides high resolution terrain elevation and land cover elevation data in the OLC Siskiyou project area.

Vertical Positional Accuracy
Vertical accuracy reporting is designed to meet guidelines presented in the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) (FGDC,1998) and the ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards for Digital Geospatial Data v1.0 (ASPRS, 2014). The statistical model compares known reserved ground survey points (GSPs) to the ground model, triangulated from the neighboring laser points. Vertical accuracy statistical analysis uses reserved ground survey points in open areas where the LiDAR system has a "very high probability" that the sensor will measure the ground surface and is evaluated at the 95th percentile.
For the OLC Siskiyou study area, a total of 845 ground control points were collected and used for calibration of the LiDAR data. An additional 45 ground survey points were collected and reserved for independent verification, resulting in a non-vegetated vertical accuracy (NVA) of 0.058 meters, or 0.190 feet.
Quantum Spatial, Inc. has collected Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) data in the Siskiyou Study Area for the Oregon Lidar Consortium (OLC).
NOAA OCM has taken the data and ingested it into the Digital Coast Data Access Viewer for distribution.
Acquisition.
LiDAR data acquisition occurred between June 18 and 21, 2017. The survey utilized a Leica ALS 80 laser system mounted in a Cessna Grand Caravan.

The NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM) received 1658 lidar point cloud files in laz format from DOGAMI. The files contained lidar elevation and intensity measurements. The data were in Oregon Lambert NAD83(2011), international feet, coordinates and NAVD88 (Geoid12b) elevations in international feet. The data were classified as: 1-Unclassified, 2-Ground. OCM processed all classifications of points to the Digital Coast Data Access Viewer (DAV). Classes available on the DAV are: 1, 2.
OCM performed the following processing on the data for Digital Coast storage and provisioning purposes:
1. An internal OCM script was run to check the number of points by classification and by flight ID and the gps and intensity ranges.
2. Internal OCM scripts were run on the laz files to convert from orthometric (NAVD88) elevations to ellipsoid elevations using the Geoid 12B model, to convert from Oregon Lambert (NAD83 2011) coordinates in international feet, to geographic coordinates, to assign the geokeys, to convert from feet to meters, to sort the data by gps time, and zip the data to database and to http.
