Abstract:	These data represent those waters of the United States that are within the jurisdiction of the United States Coast Guard. The jurisdiction of the U.S. Coast Guard is defined within 33 U.S. Code Chapter 3 (Navigation and Navigable Waters), which specifies all navigable waters of the United States landward from the Exclusive Economic Zone.
Purpose:	To support coastal and ocean planning and other activities pursuant to the Energy Policy Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Rivers and Harbors Act and the Submerged Lands Act.
