NF0903 SADCP surface current velocities

Collected April 2009 - NANCY FOSTER - CRER Cruise

Chief Scientist: Ryan Smith

THIS FILE CONTAINS PROCESSED HULL-MOUNTED (SADCP) SURFACE VELOCITY DATA TIME AVERAGED TO FIVE MINUTE INTERVALS.
ORIGINAL BIN SIZE = 4 meters, GRIDDED BIN SIZE = 5 meters

THESE DATA WERE COLLECTED USING A TELEDYNE RD INSTRUMENTS 150KHZ OCEAN SURVEYOR ADCP.

THESE DATA HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO CODAS3 (U. OF HAWAII) STANDARDS by Ryan Smith (ryan.smith@noaa.gov)

DUE TO INITIAL LONG RANGE SETTINGS, SELECTED FOR DEEP OCEAN PENETRATION, THESE SURFACE VALUES ACTUALLY REPRESENT WATERS BETWEEN A DEPTH OF 10 TO 15 METERS (AVG). THESE DATA ARE THE SHALLOWEST AVAILABLE FOR THIS PORTION OF THE CRUISE.
