      <abstract>A one-foot (1.0ft) cell size Digital Elevation Model (DEM) raster was created from the ground classified lidar points. The files are delivered in tile format (2000 x 2000ft), the rasters are delivered in 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF format (.tif) and adhere to USGS-NGP Lidar Base Specification 2023, rev. A.

This dataset covers approximately 7454 square miles in southeast Illlinois and consists of 3 deliveries or blocks that cover all or portions of these counties: Pike, Scott, Bureau, Logan, Christian, Madison, Livingston, Ford, Kankakee, and Iroquois

IL_10CoNRCS_1 (Work Unit 300580) - Approximately 3350 square miles

IL_10CoNRCS_3 (Work Unit 300582) - Approximately 2097 square miles 

This metadata record supports the data entry in the NOAA Digital Coast Data Access Viewer (DAV). For this data set, the DAV is leveraging the GeoTIFF files hosted by USGS on Amazon Web Services.</abstract>
      <purpose>This project will support the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) high resolution elevation enterprise program, the Illinois State Geological Survey's Height Modernization Program, and the 3DEP mission.

The Defined Project Area (DPA) is represented by the USGS-provided Esri shapefile IL_10CountyNRCS_D23_DPA, and encompasses approximately 7,454 square miles, and includes all or portions of Pike, Scott, Bureau, Logan, Christian, Madison, Livingston, Ford, Kankakee, and Iroquois in the state of Illinois. Said DPA is made up of six (6) non-contiguous individual boundaries or Areas of Interest (AOIs).

The Block1 area is approximately 3350 square miles and contains 23742 tiles (2000ft by 2000ft).</purpose>
